The front 33 acres are looking a whole lot different already. We’re on day three or so with Carl Parker and the crew, and the change is wild.
What used to be thick brush is opening up fast. Watching the equipment work efficiently is impressive—they make quick work of it. The woods feel clearer, and you can already see more light hitting the forest floor.
That’s the big win: better light means we can reestablish good ground cover and habitat for the deer. Clearing brush is the real game changer here. Once this settles, we’ll look at mulching options, but priority one is getting those lanes opened up.
Excited to see how it all shapes out for wildlife and the pines.
